Limited Edition Wagon 2008
At our 2008 exhibition we sold a limited edition OO gauge wagon in the original Kingshill Colliery livery.  Kingshill was a pit near Allanton in Lanarkshire owned by Coltness.  Coltness was a large company owning both many pits in central Scotland and a large fleet of wagons to deliver their coal around the country.  The wagons carried the name of the pit they delivered for, and various colour schemes were used, the Kingshill colour being a vibrant red with white letters.

The 200 wagons were produced by Dapol exclusively for Model Rail Scotland and some were left over after the 2008 exhibition.  We are offering these for sale for £8.95 plus p&p costs of £1.50 to UK destinations and £3.00 if overseas.  If you are interested in buying one contact us via the contact form here for more information.

Exhibition Managers Spring 08 Update

It was hectic, it was chaotic, it was fun and above all it was a success, well worth all the hours of planning myself and the other members of team put into MODEL RAIL SCOTLAND 2008. Large numbers of enthusiasts made their way to Hall 3 of the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow to visit the show. Thanks go to all the exhibitors who travelled considerable distances to take part, especially Peter from Holland with his wonderful layout PETERHSHOF - an excellent example of modelling in HO.

Special thanks go to HORNBY, MODEL RAIL magazine and BACHMANN EUROPE for their support and to DAPOL for all their help with the N gauge village. So with 2008 now a memory all sights are set on the horizon looking toward 2009. Have quick look at the website to see what we got up to last month and check back regularly to see what we hope to do next year.
